A 60-Year Chronicle of Automotive Excellence
This encyclopedic reference will include a registry of ALL entries, entrants and judging results on record—from the inception of the Pebble Beach Concours in 1950 to the very latest results from 2009 and 2010.
The forthcoming set is intended both to complement the 50th anniversary book and to stand on its own as a complete reference to our entries, entrants, results, trophies and judges.
While our 50th anniversary book included a list of winners and judges to 1999 in addition to a historic overview of the Concours and essays by several longtime participants, the 60th anniversary set will list ALL of the entries that we have record of being shown on our show field. The set will list these entries by year and class, by marque, and by entrant. This set is intended as a more useful reference tool for people who want to look up the history of a particular car or marque or entrant or judge at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance; it is to function as a comprehensive index to these things.
This limited edition two-volume 60th anniversary reference set will be available by advance order only, and books will be delivered in the spring of 2011.
